Today, senior state Republicans in Indiana announced that they will add language to the recently passed "religious freedom" bill that has caused so much public backlash for the state and its Republican lawmakers for fear that the law would allow for LGBT discrimination in the name of religious freedom. It seems that tolerance and decency have prevailed in Indiana with thanks to the many individuals, politicians, businesses, and other organizations and leaders who called for swift change.
It remains to be seen whether Indiana will be able to or will take further actions to fix the damage to its reputation regarding tolerance and acceptance of LGBT people.
