This video is beautiful because it highlights our humanity. Have any of the self-proclaimed homophobes changed their minds? We don't know. We do know that they were willing to step out of their comfort zones and see gay men and women for what they are: people. The gay participants also had to reconcile their own feelings about homophobia. Their interactions were awkward, but real and honest.
Perhaps if more people were willing to step beyond their own boundaries and be a little uncomfortable to meet someone on the other side, even briefly, we can start to live like one unified human race.
