A recently released free app in China called 'Queers' is focused on connecting gay men and lesbians for the purposes of getting married. Of course, these would be mixed-orientation marriages, commonly called Lavender marriages, or marriages made to conceal one or both participants' true sexual orientations. 

According to the app's profile on the Apple website, "Queers is the largest, serious and global marriage dating platform for gay and lesbians." This in itself does not say that the aim of the app is to match gay men with lesbians since the wording is ambiguous, perhaps due to inadequate translation. However, farther down, the description specifically calls out "Lavender marriages" and in some more perhaps poorly translated English describes them as "different with normal marriage, we may can defined it as a way to compromise the society."[sic] Presumably this means that the lavender marriages are to cover up the true sexual orientations of the participants from the rest of society, including friends, relatives family members, and perhaps even government authorities.

Exploring the app's website with the help of Google translate, Queers describes itself as "the world's largest gay lesbian serious form of marriage dating platform for gay and les[bians] create the most convenient and safest, most private match."[sic] Promoting lavender marriages certainly fits well with the app's slogan of "slogan is serious, massive, safe and convenient."
