Most often when we talk about body image, we think first about women. But men can worry about body image if not more than women. In fact, some studies show that men actually worry more about their appearance and body than their female peers. Others show that the percentage of men who report "body dissatisfaction" is increasing at a much faster rate than it is for women.

For gay and bisexual men, it can be even worse. Compared to their heterosexual male peers, gay and bisexual men have a higher rate of eating disorders and report more pressure to percentages of eating disorders and generally experience more cultural and sexual pressure to come to terms with their body image, whether it be issues of weight, racial objectification and preference, or masculinity.

Buzzfeed, which produced the video below, says that its aim was to "put contemporary 'ideal' male specimens under scrutiny" with the hope to "spark a more open and important dialogue regarding men’s relationships with their bodies, ethnicity, masculinity, and personal expression of beauty."

What do you think about what is supposedly "ideal" in male beauty? Do you agree with this video's portrayal? Let us know in the comments!
